Research

The Centre's research is primarily focused on development of in vitro simulation test systems, that closely mimic human anatomical systems, to serve the needs of medical device companies and medical practitioner communities. In addition, the Galway Medical Technologies Centre offers a broad range of engineering design/development support services to the developers of medical devices.

The Galway Medical Technologies Centre is actively focused on the cardiovascular research area.

Other areas of research include the human musculoskeletal system, dentistry, urology and reconstructive surgery.
