The Galway Medical Technologies Centre – GMedTech is developing a critical mass of research capability in the area of medical device test and design to serve the needs of medical device companies.
In addition, the GMedTech Centre is creating strong relationships with the medical device companies in the west of Ireland and further field. As well as providing simulation test systems that meet the device companies product development and test needs, the Centre also provides focused design/development support services.
Moreover, GMedTech/GMIT serves the industry through the supply of appropriately trained biomedical engineers and technicians, and through the continuing education of technical staff in the companies.
